Alan Schulte

Owner & Operator

After struggling himself to find reliable and affordable transportation from Bedford, NH to Boston Logan Airport, Alan knew there had to be a better solution for a car service in his hometown. Frustrated by the unpredictability of rideshare services and the high costs of limo and black car options, he envisioned a more convenient and reasonably priced alternative. So in 2019, he started a ride service for a few friends and family. Quickly, his client list grew, his reach extended beyond just Bedford, and he added to his vehicle fleet and driver roster. With the support of loyal clients, Bedford Rides earned its reputation as the reliable and affordable car service Alan once sought out.

In addition to running Bedford Rides, Alan is Associate Professor of English and Composition and Director of Wensberg Writing Center at Franklin Pierce University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications and his Master of Fine Arts in Nonfiction Writing from the University of New Hampshire. If you’re looking for a conversation starter during your ride, his research interests include creative nonfiction, composition and rhetoric, and writing center theory.
Alan resides in Bedford, New Hampshire, with his wife, Molly; and their four children: Lily, Penelope, Jonathan, and Evie; as well as their American Island Dog, Coco.
